Professor Li Wei of Taiwan National Jiaotong University will give an academic report at 10:00-11:30 on Thursday, September 24 in the conference room on the first floor of the display center. The title of the report was Achiral and chiral liquid crystals for biosensing and immunodetection, Liquid-crystal multichannel and laser devices based on 1-D photonic bandgap structures. Teachers and students who are interested are welcome to attend.

Li Wei, Professor of Taiwan National Jiaotong University, Chairman of Taiwan LCD Society, Director of Institute of Photoelectronic and Imaging, School of Photonics and Biology, National Jiaotong University, Acting Director of Institute of Photoelectric Systems, and Associate Editor of Optical Materials Express, American Optical Society. His main research fields are: green energy, soft and fast response liquid crystal display and other optoelectronic devices; liquid crystal, liquid crystal/polymer composite, alternating photoelectric and dielectric properties of liquid crystal containing nanoparticles; composite structure of electronically controlled photonic crystal and liquid crystal, etc.
