The first project seminar of the Joint Laboratory of Light Environment and Visual Health, Southeast University-Suzhou Metrology and testing Institute, was held in Suzhou.
November 29, 2018, light environment and visual health joint laboratory project seminar held in Suzhou metrology and testing new area laboratory second floor conference room. Prof. Zhang Yuning, Prof. Lily Wang and related graduate students of Southeast University Joint International Research Laboratory of Information Display and Visualization, Dr. Liu Hongxin, Dr. Liu Yulong and Li Jun, Director of Suzhou Metrology and testing Institute, participated in the project seminar. The conference discussed four topics: "Mobile phone display quality and Visual Health Evaluation", "Educational Light Environment Design and Evaluation", "VR/AR display quality and Visual Health Evaluation" and "Special Light Environment Laboratory Design Scheme". The two sides fully affirmed the organization, implementation and progress effectiveness of each project since the establishment of the joint laboratory, exchanged views and views on the problems currently encountered in the project, and made clear arrangements for the next work plan of each project.
The Joint Laboratory of Light Environment and Visual Health, Southeast University-Suzhou Metrology and testing Institute, was officially opened in Nanjing on September 17, 2018. Wang Baoping, vice-president of the Southeast University, Shi Dongmei, the material of the high-tech research, Ma Mingchuan, deputy director of the high-tech office of Jiangsu science and technology department, and Wang Feng, Deputy Director of Metrology Department, Jiangsu Province Market Supervision Administration, opened the cards for the joint laboratory. The joint laboratory is aiming at promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the Display and Lighting disciplines of Southeast University, especially in the field of Visual Perception, and deepening the degree of closeness between the Display Technology disciplines of Southeast University and industry and market needs. Promoting and speeding up the transformation of scientific research capabilities into productive forces. At the same time, as the supporter to the first national key R & D project "New Display Visual Health Research" of Southeast University, the joint laboratory is working to facilitate results transformation, offering the supporting technology of the research and providing carrier support. And laboratory provides scientific and technological services, strategic advice to Suzhou Metrology and testing Institute through the standard formulation, method upgrading, equipment upgrading and other aspects.
The joint laboratory focuses on the impact of lighting and system light environment on visual health, adopting the mode of school-enterprise combination, combining with government support, giving full play to the advantages of industry-university-research cooperation, and promoting the timely transformation of scientific research achievements into social benefits. With healthy visual terminal products, optical environment design and system engineering, whole life cycle monitoring and maintenance as the starting point, the joint laboratory will construct of the domestic first-class, internationally renowned light environment and visual health research and development base in 3 or 5 years.
