At the invitation of Southeast University Joint International Research Laboratory of Information Display and Visualization, Professor Arup Kumar Raychaudhuri, former director of the National Research Centre for basic Sciences in S. N. Bose, India, visited our lab from 11 to 15 November 2018. Professor Raychaudhuri is a renowned Indian scientist, fellow of the Indian Academy of Science, fellow of academician of the National Academy of Sciences of India, has served as Professor of Physics at Indian Institute of Science(IISc) and Director of National Physical Laboratory (NPL). He is also the Director and Distinguished Professor of National Centre for basic Sciences, S. N. Bose, India.


 


During visiting our lab, Professor Raychaudhuri was hired to be a visiting professor at Southeast University and was invited to serve as a consultant expert at the Southeast University Joint International Research Laboratory of Information Display and Visualization. He gave an academic lecture entitled "Physics of Photoconduction and single semiconductornanowire photodetectors" at the laboratory, and a lecture called "Different methods to make nanostructures- Chemistry to Ion Beams" for undergraduate students at Southeast University. During the visit, he also agreed with the Joint International Research Laboratory of Information Display and Visualization on joint international scientific research and co-organization of the BRICS multilateral academic Conference on Optoelectronics.
