According to the Provincial Government's decision on Jiangsu Science and Technology Award 2017, Ingrid Heynderickx won the Jiangsu Provincial International Science and Technology Cooperation Award in 2017.
Ingrid Heynderickx is currently dean and professor of industrial engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. He started visual perception research on display lighting design in the 1990s. He is the pioneer of in the field of international applied visual perception(Applied Vision). She was chief scientist at Philips, 45, a fellow at the Philips Research Institute, a professor at Delft Institute of Technology in the Netherlands, and was selected as fellow of the International Society for Information display (SID) in 2008, Applied Vision Technology Committee. She won the Chinese Government National Friendship Award in 2009 and the SID Otto Schade Award in 2015.
Since Professor Ingrid Heynderickx introduced the visual perception research project of display system into Dongfei Center, a cooperative research institute between Southeast University and Philips, Netherlands, in 2000, she has been cooperating with Southeast University for nearly 18 years. As a member of the board of directors of Dongfei Center and the technical director of Philips, she visited Southeast University 2-4 times a year, worked in China for 1 or 2 month every year, and carried out cooperative research and academic exchanges. During 2000-2014, she visited Southeast University 2 times a year and worked in China from January to February. She regularly attends the board of directors of Dongfang University every year, examines, directs, assesses topics, discusses the budget, and decides that Southeast University personnel will go to Philips, the Netherlands, for training, and Philips’s scholarships at Southeast University, etc. She also participated in the development of the research program, guided the construction of the vision-aware laboratory, co-authored a scientific and technical paper with the Professors and students of the Southeast University, and conducted academic lectures at the Southeast University, as well as the teaching of undergraduate and graduate students. Under her guidance and assistance, Southeast University has completed a number of national 863,973 program projects and national natural science fund projects through a collaborative study. In addition, as a professor at the University of Technology, she also selected and recruited the co-cultivation doctoral students to go to the Netherlands for further study, and also received the study or training of the Southeast University's teachers and postgraduates in the Netherlands, and conducted personal guidance to them. As a result of the outstanding contribution to the international cooperation of the Southeast University, she was employed as a guest professor in the Southeast University in 2005. In 2006, he became the overseas academic backbone of Southeast University "showing the Base of Science and Technology Innovation to attract Wisdom" (“111 Plan”). And she won the National Friendship Award in 2009.
In recent years, she has continued to support the international cooperation of Southeast University. After entering Eindhoven University of Technology, she has been actively committed to cooperation between the two universities in scientific research and talent-building. In 2015, as an important international partner, In collaboration with Southeast University, the " Joint International Research Laboratory of Information Display and Visualization " was successfully established by the Ministry of Education, and the construction plan began in 2016. In October 2017, Professor, Ingrid Heynderickx visited Southeast University again. drawn up the next 5 years cooperation plan, which jointly promotes the international cooperation joint laboratory construction.
