On May 22, 2017, the Symposium on Progress and Application of photocathode Research was held at Southeast University of Nanjing, from North Night Vision Technology Co., Ltd., Institute of Applied Electronics, China Research Institute of Engineering Physics. China Electronic Technology Corporation 55th Institute, Nanjing Sanle Electronic Information Industry Group Co., Ltd., Kunshan Guoli Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., and Southeast University more than 40 experts and engineers, Technicians and students attended the meeting. The meeting was sponsored by the Youth working Committee of Jiangsu vacuum Society and the School of Electronic Science and Engineering of Southeast University. Jiangsu Province vacuum Society Deputy Secretary-General, Southeast University Professor Wang Qilong presided over the meeting.
At the meeting, Si Shuguang, manager of the manufacturing department of North Night Vision's photomultiplier tube, introduced the research and development process of the 20-inch microchannel plate photomultiplier tube, and the world-leading performance indicators reached at present. It will be applied to the national experiment of neutrino detection in Daya Bay; Wu Dai, associate researcher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, reported the research of long-life semiconductor photocathode used in accelerator high brightness electron source, and emphatically introduced the progress in the construction of terahertz free electron laser (THz free electron laser), a national large-scale scientific device. Engineer Yang Jie of 55 institute introduced the technology development direction of photomultiplier tube and the development of new products. At last, Dr. Qi Zhiyang and Dr. Zhai Yusheng of Southeast University introduced the study of novel photoelectron emission based on micro / nano structure and the study of new photoelectric detector with surface plasmon effect. We had a warm exchange and discussion on the site of the report. We are very excited about the research achievements made by various units and have a strong desire to strengthen in-depth cooperation.
The success of this meeting has provided excellent academic exchange platform and product opportunity for experts and scholars in the field of photocathode and its application devices.
